New Horizontal Miter Bandsaw from Behringer Meets the Tough Production Demands of the Structural Steel Industry

Morgantown, PA (August 3, 2007) – A new heavy-duty, horizontal miter bandsaw designed for high production applications has been introduced by Behringer Saws, Inc. The HBP-410/723 G Semi-Automatic Horizontal Miter Bandsaw has a miter range of 105º (60º to the left and 45º to the right) and is perfect for the accurate and economical cutting of profiles and solid materials.

Used by the structural steel industry for high volume fabricating applications, The HBP-410/723 G Semi-Automatic Horizontal Miter Bandsaw has a biased saw blade for ease in the cutting of profiles. This new bandsaw has a cutting capacity of up to 27.5” x 15.7” for profiles and at 45 degrees to the right can cut rounds up to 14.9” and at 45 degrees left can cut rounds up to 16.1”. The machine features a frequency controlled 5.4 horsepower main drive motor with a variable speed range of between 65 – 460 Surface Feet Per Minute (SFM). The speed is easily set, controlled and monitored on the operator’s terminal. Hydraulic hardened clamping jaws ensure steady and precise cuts at all speeds.

Behringer Saws Inc., Morgantown, PA, is pleased to announce the completion of the first Behringer Saw with 100% of the assembly process completed in the U.S. Behringer has been supplying high quality German engineered and manufactured horizontal and vertical band saws to the US market for over 20 years.

Says Joe Dick, President Behringer Saws, USA, “we have had plans on initiating this process in the US for a number of years, and the timing and economy were right for us to start this project at this time”. “ Since we have been building material handling systems and conveyors here in PA for many years, the transition to machine assembly was a natural progression, and an excellent utilization of the skill sets we have in our company.”
