Behringer Saws Inc., Morgantown, PA, is pleased to announce the completion of the first Behringer Saw with 100% of the assembly process completed in the U.S. Behringer has been supplying high quality German engineered and manufactured horizontal and vertical band saws to the US market for over 20 years.

Says Joe Dick, President Behringer Saws, USA, “we have had plans on initiating this process in the US for a number of years, and the timing and economy were right for us to start this project at this time”. “ Since we have been building material handling systems and conveyors here in PA for many years, the transition to machine assembly was a natural progression, and an excellent utilization of the skill sets we have in our company.” In preparation for this initiative, Behringer Saws, USA, sent shop personnel to Kirchardt, Germany, to work side by side with the craftsman there to learn the intricacies of this process.

“As our customers begin to request more options on their machines, and are requiring their sawing processes to be more sophisticated and automated, assembling machines here in the US will give us much greater flexibility”, says Rick Klipp, General Manager. “In the past we would modify saws by putting on or removing options from our saws in inventory. Now we will have the ability to assemble them on an order by order basis, exactly to the customers specification”.

Behringer Saws Inc. has plans on expanding their Morgantown facility to allow this process to grow. Their vision is to continue to build all of the material handling and automation systems in PA, and to add to the number of US assembled machines on an on-going basis. This, coupled with their large parts inventory and industry leading field service, will allow Behringer to continue to offer outstanding value to their customers.

As Joe Dick states, “this is good for our business, good for our customers, and good for the local economy”.
