Richard J. Klipp Named General Manager At Behringer Saws, Inc.

Morgantown, PA (December 4, 2007) -- Richard J. Klipp has been named president of Behringer Saws’ North American operations with the retirement of long-time president, Joseph A. Dick, bringing to close one era and the beginning of another period in the company’s history.

“Over his tenure, Joe has worked hard to establish Behringer as a first class equipment and systems supplier to corporations, service centers and distributors,” states Mr. Klipp. “Our mission is to build upon that reputation with our customers and solidify our position as the premier and most reliable sawing equipment supplier in North America.”

Mr. Klipp joined Behringer in October 2006 and has served as the company’s general manager since that time. He has immersed himself in Behringer’s sales and service operations dealing first hand with distributors and customers in the field. Mr. Klipp believes that the firm is well poised for continued growth based upon the overall health of the steel and metals industry in the United States and the company’s ability to provide high quality bandsaw and systems to both broad-based markets and niche markets with specific sawing applications.

“Behringer’s continued success will come from helping customers increase their levels of productivity, expansion geographically and with aggressive initiatives into specific segments of the marketplace,” says Mr. Klipp. “The recent move to assemble our machines here in the U.S., combined with our ability to offer superior sawing technology with a high level of service and value added material handling systems offers distinct business advantages for customers, service centers and distributors.”

Mr. Klipp brings extensive sales, marketing and corporate management experience to the role. Prior to joining Behringer, he was employed for eighteen years by TYCO International. While at TYCO, he served as senior vice president, sales and marketing with its Engineered Products and Services Group. Prior to that role, Mr. Klipp was vice president, general manager at TYCO’s Corrosion Protection Group. During his tenure at TYCO, Mr. Klipp played an instrumental role in international business development, led branding initiatives and new product launches and worked extensively in developing and expanding the firm’s sales force.

Behringer Saws, Inc. provides a wide variety of world-class quality automatic bandsawing, marking, punching, drilling and shearing systems and high performance circular cold saws to corporations, service centers, job shops and manufacturers throughout the world.
